IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY GRANDPA...

Most of you already know that we lost my Grandma on May 5th just 2 weeks ago and now my Grandpa has passed on to be with her as well.  Just 7 days after my Grandma's funeral, we lost Grandpa too.  It is really hard on their children (my mom and her siblings) to lose both parents so close to the same date, but at the same time it's also very sweet that they went together.  I know that I would want it the same way if it were Gary and I.   It's just so hard to lose the ones you love and when you have been together 51 years and you die within 10 days of each other, I think it's kind of romantic.  You don't choose the day you will die (typically) and when you see two people that loved each other so much, leave this earth together.... amazing. Reminds me of the movies.... like The Notebook.   What a tear jerker that movie was!!!

We will miss you Grandpa!

Dear Missy, I'm so sorry for your lost.  It is comforting that they left together; however loosing a parent or grandparent is never easy.  Take it a day at a time and know I'm there for you if you ever need someone to talk to.  Ask God for strength to help you.  My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time.   Lots of Hugs, Cathy Ann

Hey Missy, I'm so sorry. I know that family means a lot to you. You're right, though. It is very fitting (bittersweet) for two people who were so connected here on earth to leave it at the same time. I'll be praying for you and your mom during this difficult time. ~Rachel

OOOOh, so sorry to hear that.

My grandparents went EXACTLY a month apart ... and grandpa wasn't even coherent that his wife was gone. Strange yet sweet how those things work out!

*hugs*

that is a lot to bear for their children and grandchildren, but i like the peace that you've found with the two of them departing so close together. it's like he just couldn't go on without her so he went to be with her.

Oh Missy... I'm so sorry.  I send all my love to you.  I just want to wrap my arms around you and squeeze. We'll be praying for your family and hope God helps everyone find peace in this sad time.

As sad as this makes me for you and your family, I think this is the sweetest and most pure form of love! You are right, it's amazing!
