I should start a new blog so I actually want to add to this thing. I am so over this blog if you couldn't tell.
Lindsay and Jesse put on another horse show this weekend and it was tons of fun! Here are some bloopers of one of my favorite guys! Ozzy is so freaken cute I could squeeze him! He has the coolest personality and he is a BEAUTY!!! It's all about beauty for me

He went over the triple with Amy and the first jump was good, then the second was not going so well, then she kind of fell on his neck and he slowly walked over the jump with her on his neck! SOOO funny! The crowd loved it and so did I. Check him out! He has his own blog..... CLICK HERE!!!

SPRING FEVER HUNTER/JUMPER SHOW

This past weekend we had a GREAT time at Equi-Life's Spring Fever Horse Show in Kelowna, BC. The weather was hot, the kids were cute and the horses were beautiful. Most of you know about our great friends Jesse and Lindsay who run a horse training and rescue business called Equi-Life. They are such amazing people and they do an outstanding job with all the horses here at Twin Creek. Not only is Lindsay a very patient, kind and knowledgeable coach.... she always makes you feel like the best student around. That is so motivating when you are trying to learn such a difficult sport. She is also a great person to be around. They both are! Jesse and Lindsay are such sweet people with so much passion for animals! I really like how they keep a positive, encouraging and fun environment around the barn.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY GRANDPA...

Most of you already know that we lost my Grandma on May 5th just 2 weeks ago and now my Grandpa has passed on to be with her as well. Just 7 days after my Grandma's funeral, we lost Grandpa too. It is really hard on their children (my mom and her siblings) to lose both parents so close to the same date, but at the same time it's also very sweet that they went together. I know that I would want it the same way if it were Gary and I. It's just so hard to lose the ones you love and when you have been together 51 years and you die within 10 days of each other, I think it's kind of romantic. You don't choose the day you will die (typically) and when you see two people that loved each other so much, leave this earth together.... amazing. Reminds me of the movies.... like The Notebook. What a tear jerker that movie was!!!

We will miss you Grandpa!

FINANCIAL INFIDELITY

I just saw an interesting topic on the Today Show and I thought I would share what I heard. They say that "Financial Infidelity" is about as bad as actually cheating on your spouse.   It's actually when people spend money in a secretive way, usually money that they shouldn't be spending or spending in a way that could be detrimental to the marriage.

Tips to help you stay away from this:

#1 Establish your own accounts
#2 Set 'Don't Ask, Don't Tell' limits   (within your budget in your own account)
#3 Hold monthly money meetings
#4 Validate your value
#5 Run your home like a business

Validate your value would be for parents that stay at home. You need to decide what that job would be worth if you were to hire someone to do those things for you. If you are taking care of the kids, cleaning the house, cooking and managing the home.   Be the CEO of your household.

WOOPS... MISSED THIS POST....

So I have been missing a lot of blogs lately because I haven't entered them all back into my favorites and I guess Janey did a really sweet post about me for my birthday and I totally missed it! I am sorry Janey! You probably thought I was snobbing you when I didn't comment. I wasn't, I just missed it and now that I saw it, I love it!

Anyway if you don't read her blog, you need to start. She is an awesome writer and her pictures are gorgeous!!! I have seen her business explode from all the talent this girl has and I am so excited to see all the things she will do in the future. She is one of the sweetest people I know. Gary and I just love her so much! When we are with her, it's constant giggling! I admire and respect her so much because there are just so many things about her that I strive to be like. She is kind, loving, caring, THOUGHFUL, responsible and most of all FUN! I think she lives life in a way that is very honorable and I really admire that!

AMAZING TRIP DOWN MEMORY LANE...

What an amazing trip we are having in Ohio. It's been a bitter sweet week! After loosing my grandma, my family got to spend a lot of great quality time together and it's been so nice to see everyone.

Gary and I drove out to my old house this afternoon to walk around the property and meet the new owners. We met Diana who lives there with her husband Todd.... such a nice lady! We talked for over an hour about life out in Minerva, Ohio. She took me through the house and I was just shocked by the feeling I got stepping back in there. Everything looked the same, but then everything looked so different... it was so crazy! I remember the house being about 10x bigger! I know that always happens when you go back to the places you hung out as a child. Like the elementary school you went to... have you walked through that school lately? It's crazy how everything is so much smaller. The bathrooms, water fountains, desks... it's never like you remembered. I guess that is how my old house felt today.

The trees were all grown and so big and everything was green!!! I can't believe how much everything has grown. I walked into the barn and it smelled exactly the same. I think it was the wood my dad used to build the barn... smelled like an old cabin. Very cool.

To my surprise there were two donkeys and one horse on the property. We want a donkey FOR SURE now! They are so cute and look like such cool pets. The new owner called them her "field ornaments". Funny.

I am so glad to have had this time in Ohio.... strange for me to be enjoying my time here this much. I am really glad we were able to make it home.

IN LOVING MEMORY OF MY GRANDMA....

I know I have been out of touch for a long time. I guess I just haven't felt like blogging ... at all!

Today is a sad day for us. We said goodbye to my loving grandma. We will miss her very much. It was good to see the family today and to be there with my mom in such a sorrow time of her life. I hope that the healing begins today as we remember the love we shared together with such a wonderful, beautiful person.

NICE BANGS AY?

I know I am suppose to do a post about WPPI in Vegas, but I am to lazy to go grab the images out of my point and shoot camera. We are in Santa B and it's great to be back here. We get to spend time with our good friends Amy, Janey, DJ, Allie and Crystal. It is so odd that Gary and I always end up in LA for Easter, only this year we decided to drive up to Santa B because DJ has a house now and we can all have fun cooking a yummy Easter dinner together. (way to go Deej)

I remember the first Easter in LA, Gary and I went down to the beach for a bike ride and I noticed all these little girls in their matching Easter dresses (you know when the mom's dress the sisters up in matching easter dresses when they aren't even twins LOL) .... and I thought to myself... "wow this is so weird, normally back home in Ohio it's cold and rainy on Easter, so weird to see kids on the beach in their church clothes HA HA"

TAKING OFF AGAIN......

Even though the ranch is located high up in the mountain away from everyone and everything, there is always something going on outside. You can always see or hear Jesse in the background cleaning up the property or putting something together. Lindsay is either giving a lesson or wrestling with one of the horses. Michelle is playing with Cleveland or getting to know Sydney! Holly is laughing at someone or cuddeling the pig..... and you can usually find me on the bench with the cat, or brushing a horse. I love it all!

The weirdest part about traveling a lot is when we get really comfortable where we are and then all of a sudden that time creeps up on us again and we have to pack up a suitcase and head off to the next destination. I was really enjoying life at the ranch and watching the weather get better and better each day! We have so many plans for the ranch this year that make me really excited and sort of impatient!!! I can't explain the peaceful feeling I have just hanging around the house and enjoying the beauty of Canada.

During this trip we will be in Seattle, LA and Los Vegas for the 2008 WPPI Show. The part that makes it easy to leave the ranch is knowing that we are going to have so much fun with our friends!!! The weather will be warmer too! Bonus!!
